Certificate of Origin of The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand
The Thai Chamber of Commerce is an agency authorized to issue Certificate of Origin document (CO) in general form (CO General Form) which is a document that certifies non-preferential products origin and imply importing country wish to keep as international trading statistics or prevent an import from countries in conflict with, international agreement or according to UN resolution to boycott specific country as punishment, to follow trade protection measure of a country as punishment to follow trade protection measure of their own country. Facilitate export Certificate of Origin applicant or other trade documents.
The Thai Chamber of Commerce has requirements and procedures to fill out an application as follows
1.1 Authorized signatory signature card registration.
Exporter who wish to apply for Certificate of Origin document (CO) or other export documents need to register authorized signatory signature card if this is their first time contact with The Thai Chamber of Commerce (acquire forms with guidance from and return documents at center’s reception).
– Card with signature and company or agency seal (if applicable), together with approved authorized signatory will be sent to branch office as reference later.
Card issuing/card renewal/signature card revision requires documents as follows
a. Company Limited, Public Company Limited, Partnership Limited
1. A copy of certificate together with business objectives (Partnership Limited/ Company Limited) or commercial registration issued no longer than 6 months.
2. A copy of business registration of the partnership limited/company limited.
3. A copy of commercial registration or VAT registration issued by The Revenue Department.
4. A copy of identification card or alien registration or passport and non-expired work permit (alien) of authorized and attorney signatory.
5. Power of Attorney (if there is attorney).
6. Documents in subject (1.) – (4.) need certified true copy.
7. The Thai Chamber of Commerce reserves the rights to revoke signature card in the event of discovering or finding out that shop, partnership limited or company limited is out of business.
b. Cooperative, Association, Foundation
1. Registration certificate or establishment license.
2. A copies of identification card and household registration with president or director signature as certified true copy.
3. The Thai Chamber of Commerce reserves the rights to revoke signature card in the event of discovering or finding out that cooperative, association or foundation is out of business.
1.2 Filling Certificate of Origin form.
After card registration in Certificate of Origin application step, exporter is required to complete Certificate of Origin form and signed by authorized signatory or one of attorneys named in signature card, with business seal in the lower right of CO form issued by The Thai Chamber of Commerce.
