TISI License Application (Thai Industrial Standard Institute)
b. Procedures and timeframe
Applicant who wish to import industrial products which are under Royal Decree prescribed to conform to the standard and enabling entry to the market, is required to do as follows
1. Acquire the application (Mor Or 5) from TISI 1, 2, 3, Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry, Rama 6 Road, Thung Phaya Thai Sub-district, Rachatewi District, Bangkok 10400.
2. Submit the application with documents and files as follows
2.1 1 set of sample industrial products, or 2 set of photos or detailed description of industrial products. In case the application submitted after the Royal Decree has already in effect, the applicant may acquire note from TISI to confirm customs officer that those are requisite sample industrial products TISI need for inspection and licensing.
2.2 Industrial products specification documents.
2.3 Chart or Quality Control procedures of in-process or finished industrial products from manufacturer factory located overseas and also require more files as follows
2.4 Certificate issued by reliable industrial products standards institute or inspection body.
2.5 Juristic Person Registration certificate (if applicable).
2.6 Office of the Company Limited and Partnership Registration certificate for Juristic Person listing authorized officer on behalf of the juristic person and applicant.
2.7 Applicant’s commercial registration certificate, copy of registered address and copy of identification card, if not juristic person.
2.8 Other files applicant wishes to submit.
In case imported products are certified from reliable overseas standards institute that such imported products conform to the standard and able to enter the market, applicant may not need to submit files in subject 2.3 or 2.4 but submit instead as follows
2.9 Certificate issued by reliable overseas standards institute.
2.10 Standards which overseas standards institute adhere to issue certification.
2.11 Requirements, procedures and conditions in which the institute adhere to issue certification.
2.12 Monitoring and control procedures of Quality Control which the institute determined as manufacturer’s certification requirements.
2.13 Imported industrial products inspection report.
In case there is Quality System certification ISO 9001 or ISO 9002 which met Quality Assurance standards requirement of products (import), additional document are required as follows
2.14 Quality System certificate ISO 9000.
In case there is laboratory accreditation ISO/IEC Guide 25 which met Quality Assurance standards requirement of products (import), additional documents are required as follows
2.15 Laboratory Accreditation ISO/IEC Guide 25.
2.16 Inspection report from approved laboratory.
b. Procedures and timeframe
Application for importing industrial products which are under Royal Decree prescribed to conform to the foreign standard or international standard.
Procedures and timeframe.
Application procedures to manufacture or import industrial products which are under Royal Decree prescribed to conform to the foreign standard or international standard (section 20 bis and 21 bis).
1. Acquire documents/ verify/ register/ filing. 1 working day.
2. Compare standards for TISI approval. 19 working days.
3. TISC approves. No time elapsed.
4. Write summary report and submit to Minister of Industry for approval. 7 working days.
5. Minister of Industry approves/ not approves. No time elapsed.
6. Notification of result. 2 working days.
